Former Model Divya Pahuja Found Dead

In a chilling incident that echoes with mystery and shadows from the past, 27-year-old ex-model Divya Pahuja, once entangled in the notorious underworld, was shot dead in a Gurugram hotel. This tragic event unfolded merely months after Pahuja’s release on bail in connection with the fake encounter case of gangster Sandeep Gadoli.

According to the police, Pahuja was allegedly lured to a Gurugram hotel on Tuesday night by the owner, Abhijeet Singh, and his associates, where she met a tragic end with a gunshot to the head.

Who was Divya Pahuja?

Divya Pahuja, a former model hailing from Punjab, carved a notable niche in the fashion world with her striking presence on the runway. Known for her elegance and poise, she undertook various modeling assignments that showcased her versatility in the industry. Her portfolio likely featured collaborations with renowned brands, designers, and fashion shows, where she graced the catwalk with her distinctive style. Pahuja’s modeling career, marked by glamour and sophistication, reflected her ability to embody diverse looks and capture the attention of the fashion fraternity. Beyond the runway, however, her life took a darker turn, weaving a narrative entangled with crime and tragedy.

Pahuja’s family had reported her missing after she went out with Abhijeet Singh, the owner of Hotel City Point in Gurugram. Concerns escalated when her phone remained switched off for an extended period. Subsequent investigations led the Gurugram Crime Branch to the hotel, where CCTV footage unveiled a disturbing scene – a body shrouded in a sheet being callously dragged through the corridors.

Abhijeet Singh, along with two others identified as Omprakash and Hemraj, were swiftly apprehended. Both Omprakash and Hemraj had been employed at Abhijeet’s hotel. The trio was caught on CCTV, transporting Pahuja’s lifeless body from the hotel to a car, with plans to dispose of it discreetly.

The surveillance footage from the night portrayed Abhijeet and Pahuja arriving at the hotel reception in the early hours of January 2, proceeding to room number 111. Later that night, the trio was captured dragging Pahuja’s body, wrapped in a sheet.

Allegations surfaced that Abhijeet had reportedly paid his associates a substantial sum, Rs 10 lakh, to ensure the body was hidden in a location where it wouldn’t be discovered.

As the Gurugram Police intensify their investigation, multiple teams from the Crime Branch are conducting raids in Punjab and other areas to locate Pahuja’s concealed remains.

In a shocking revelation, the police suggested that Pahuja’s demise was a result of the hotel owner’s retaliation, alleging that she had extorted money from him by blackmailing with ‘obscene pictures’.

Pahuja’s journey into the underworld began in 2016 at the age of 18, marked by her arrest for alleged involvement in the fake encounter of Sandeep Gadoli. The controversial incident, conducted by Haryana Police, led to the incarceration of several police officials and Divya. After enduring seven years behind bars, the Bombay High Court granted her bail in June 2023, citing prolonged imprisonment and the anticipated lengthy trial.

The unfolding tragedy surrounding Divya Pahuja’s death paints a complex picture of a life entwined with the criminal underworld, raising questions about the past that haunted her until the very end.
