A bright sunny afternoon, more than 132 thousands of spectators, biggest stadium of the World, traditional rival neighbor countries and game of World Cup Cricket. What else anyone need for a better Sunday afternoon recipe?

India and Pakistan the old rivals who never even think to lose any game to other, in front of each other for the first time in ongoing ICC World Cup 2023. Indian captain Rohit Sharma has won the TOSS and sent Pakistan to bat first.

In Indian squad, there is a change. As expected Shubhman Gill will open with Captain Rohit Sharma, he has replaced Ishan Kishan.

Bumrah has started Indian bowling attack with Mohd Siraj.

Siraj gave breakthrough to India by sending Abdullah Shafique 20 (24 ball) to pavilion on the last ball of 8th over and Pakistan 41/1

Babar Azam came to crease to replace Abdullah. After 10 overs Pakistan are 49/1

Babar Azam and Imam Ul Haq were playing sensibly. But on the 3rd ball of the 3rd over of Hardik Pandya, which was turning out side of the off stump, Imam Ul Haq tried to play through slips and caught by K L Rahul wicket keeper. Imam has scored 36 off 38 balls and Pakistan now 73/2 after 12.3 overs.

In the very next over Ravindra Jadeja found Rizwan just in front of the leg stumps, when he was playing on 1 run and was trying to sweep, Umpire raised his finger. But on DRS, it was clear that ball was missing leg stumps.  Decision changed to NOT OUT. After 14 overs Pakistan is on 75/2.

Pakistan reaches 100 marks after 18.3 overs with Babar on 29 and Rizwan on 14 runs. After 20 overs Pakistan was on 103/2, Babar Azam was playing on 30 and Rizwan on 16. After 25 overs, Pakistan or 125/2 scoring at 5.00 runs per over.

Babar Azam has completed his 50 on 57 balls and Pakistan reaches 150 marks after 29 overs after losing 2 wickets.

In the very next over, Mohd Siraj bowled out Babar Azam at 50 (58 balls). Pakistan 155/3 after 29.4 overs.

In 32nd over of the inning. Kuldeep Yadav’s ball pitched just in front of wicket found pads of Saud in the line, but umpire was not impressed with the appeal. On DRS, the Indian claim found to be genuine and Saud who was batting on 6 sent to pavilion. Pakistan were 162/4 after 32.2 overs.

On the last ball of the same over, Kuldeep Yadav bowled out Iftikhar, he was batting on (4 balls). Pakistan after 33 overs 166/5. 

This time, its Bumrah’s last ball of 5th over and Pakistan inning’s 34th. Ball hit the off stump of Rizwan who was since long waiting for his fifty, sent back to pavilion on one short of fifty. 49 off 69 balls. Pakistan 168/6 after 34 overs.

In 36th over of innings and very next over of Bumrah, It was Shadab who was bowled out for only 2 and Pakistan 171/7.

In 16 runs, Pakistan has lost his 5 wickets and Pakistan inning which was looking good, just collapse like an old building.

Batsman was Mohammad Nawaz, last ball of the 40th over, Bowler was Hardik Pandya and it was his 5th over. Ball went to the fielder Jasprit Bumrah and he took the catch and Pakistan lost another wicket. Now Pakistan is on 187/8.

1st ball of 41st over by Ravindra Jadeja (9th over) who was searching his first wicket at his home ground. Hasan Ali was batsman, tried to hit the ball but the ball goes up in the air and Shubhman Gill took the catch comfortably. Pakistan lost their 9th wicket at 187.

Jadeja stuck again and found Rauf in front of wicket, when he was 2. Rohit Sharma went for DRS and it was a perfect LBW. Finally Pakistan inning came to its end at 191. Except Shardul Thakur, all the bowlers shared 2 wickets each for India.

To win, India need 192 runs.

INDIA Chasing 192:

In the third over, Shubhman Gill, who was looking very comfortable and hit four boundaries, couldn’t control his shot on the slightly rising ball of Shaheen Afridi and gave a comfortable catch to Shadab Khan and went pavilion after scoring 16 runs on 11 balls. India after 2.5 overs 23/1.

50 comes up for India in 6.4 overs.

Virat Kohali and Rohit Sharma has added 50 runs for the 2nd wicket partnership and both were looking very confident. But in the 10th over of the inning, Virat Kohali couldn’t judge Hasan Ali’s ball and a comfortable catch went to Shadab Khan, who comfortably took it and sent Virat Kohali back to pavilion on 16 off 18 balls and India after 9.5 over 79/2.

Rohit Sharma has completed his 8th half century against Pakistan on 36 balls.

100 Comes up for India in 13.5 overs..

150 for India came after 20.4 overs; Rohit Sharma is playing on 84 and Shreyas Iyer on 35.

Rohit Sharma deceived by an outgoing delivery of Afridi and hanged a catch towards Iftikhar Ahmad on mid-wicket. Skipper was batting on 86 on 63 balls. India loses 3rd wicket on 156

Shreyas Iyer has completed his fifty. India 192/3 (30.3 overs); Shreyas Iyer 53 not out & K L Rahul 19 not out.

India has won the Match by 7 Wickets. India is now on the table with +1.8 NRR
