Sri Lanka Chasing 429
In reply, starting of Sri Lanka was very bad. Pathum Nissanka was first to go off for a duck when Sri Lanka’s score was 1.
After this damage, some repair work was done beautifully by Kusal Mendis, who had scored fastest half century of this tournament (till date) but he couldn’t survive much and his beautiful daring innings came to an end when he was out on 76 off 42 balls (4 fours & 8 sixes) and the score of Sri Lanka was 109/3 in 12.4 overs.
Later, Charith Asalanka has completed his fifty on 46 balls in his World Cup debut. Later his 79 (65) runs innings came to end and Sri Lanka were at 232/6. Now Dasun Shanaka has opened his hands and scored his half century on 50 balls. But his brave innings (68 off 62) came to an end at 291/8.
After that Sri Lanka’s innings came to its end on 326 and South Africa won this match by 102 Runs.
