Due to hamstring pull, Shubhman Gill was in pain. Physio came to ground but pain seems to be severe and skipper has asked to come him back to pavilion for some treatment, to enable him to get fit again and any possible damage may be avoided. Shreyas Iyer came to ground after Shubhman Gill got retired hurt on 79 (65) and India 164/1 after 22.4 overs.

After 30 overs, India 214/1; Virat Kohali 65 (71) and Shreyas Iyer 19 (15) are in middle of the field.

When Kohali has reached 79 runs, he became the highest run getter in any World Cup by crossing the 673 runs mark of Master Blaster Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar. This record was in the name of Sachin Tendulkar for 20 years. He had scored 673 runs in World Cup 2003.

Shreyas Iyer has completed his fifty on 35 balls with the help of 2 boundaries and 4 huge SIXES and India is 267/1 after 36.2 overs.

Virat Kohali has completed his 50th ODI century and crossed 49 century record of Sachin Tendulkar. India 297/1 after 41.4 overs.

On the last ball of 44th over, Virat Kohali again went for a lofted shot on Southee, but this time he couldn’t time the shot properly and an easy catch taken my Conway at deep mid-on. Virat Kohali’s magnificent inning of 117 runs on 113 balls came to an end and India 327/2 after 44 overs.

Shreyas Iyer has once again showed his brilliance by scoring two successive centuries. His century came on 67 balls with the help of 3 boundaries and 8 huge SIXES. India now 361/2 after 47.2 overs.

Finally consolation prize for Trent Boult, a lazy shot played by Shreyas Iyer to long on, which was thankfully received by Mitchell and Shreyas Iyer went to pavilion after making 105 useful runs on 70 balls with 4 boundaries and 8 SIXES. India 381/3 after 48.5 overs.

Next was Surya Kumar Yadav, who couldn’t middle the ball and Glenn Phillips took the catch on Southee’s ball. India 382/4 after 49.1 overs.

After 50 overs, on the score board, India 397/4

Target for New Zealand is 398 runs.

New Zealand is chasing 398: 6th over of the inning and 1st ball of Mohammad Shami, a quick out swinger, Conway chase the ball and it rested in the globes of K L Rahul. New Zealand 30/1 after 5.1 overs.

Mohammad Shami again did it!!! 8th over of the innings & 2nd of Mohammad Shami, Batsman was the in-form Ravindra Rachin, a quick in swinger and again the same result. Ball went into the globes of K L Rahul, a low catch which was beautifully taken by the brilliant wicket keeper. NZ 39/2 after 7.4 overs.

In 1st power play New Zealand has scored 46 runs and lost 2 wickets. India was 84/1 after 1st power play of 10 overs. 

After 15 overs New Zealand 87/2; still needing 311 runs in 35 overs to win the match.

100 runs came for New Zealand after 16.4 overs with the loss of 2 wickets of David Conway & Rachin Ravindra.

100 runs partnership for the 3rd wicket came in 14.2 overs. On the other hand Daryl Mitchell has completed his 4th 50+ score of the World Cup on 49 balls with the help of 5 boundaries and 2 huge SIXES.

Kane Williamson has also completed his fifty on 58 balls and New Zealand is 164/2 after 25.3 overs. This is the 45th ODI half century of Kane Williamson.

New Zealand has completed 200 runs after 30.1 overs. Mitchell was dropped by Mohammad Shami on the bowling of Jaspreet Bumrah, when a direct catch came to him on the mid-on and Shami could not collect the catch properly.

Daryl Mitchell has completed his century on 85 balls and on the very next ball Mohammad Shami gave a breakthrough by sending Kane Williamson back to pavilion on 69 (73), when he caught by Surya Kumar Yadav. New Zealand 220/3 after 32.2 overs.

Shami stuck again and took his 51st wicket in World Cup by sending new batsman Latham back to pavilion on DUCK. Now NZ 220/4 after 32.4 overs.

After 40 overs New Zealand 266/4, needs 132 runs in last 10 overs, to reach the ICC World Cup 2023 FINAL.

Bumrah gave highly required breakthrough by sending Phillips caught by Ravindra Jadeja at long off, on 41 (33 balls) 295/5 after 42.5 overs. 

Next Wicket claimed by Kuldeep Yadav. New Zealand are 298/6 after 43.5 overs. Ravindra Jadeja was also instrumental in taking this wicket. Champman sent back to pavilion on only 2 runs.

Again Shami has claimed 5 wickets in World Cup Matches, this is the 4th one by Mohammad Shami. Finally Daryl Mitchel sent back to pavilion by Mohammad Shami, caught by Ravindra Jadeja on 132 runs (114 balls). New Zealand now 306/7 after 45.2 overs.

Finally Mohammad Siraj also took a wicket by sending back Mitchell Santner to pavilion on 9 runs, catch taken by Rohit Sharma. New Zealand is 319/8 after 47.5 over. Next 2 wickets were claimed by Mohammad Shami and India has won the 1st Semi Final.

New Zealand all out on 327 (48.5 overs)

Mohammad Shami has claimed 7 wickets in the inning and India has won this match by 70 runs. India will meet winner of 2nd Semi Finals at Ahmedabad in Finals on coming Sunday.
